Table of contents Introduction
Laboratory site Overclockers.ru continues the topic of utilities to record calls from a mobile device, started in the last review.
I recall that that time We looked at programs like ACR (NLL), Call Recording for Me (Apalon Apps) and Call Recorder (Solid Union). And even earlier, my colleague protested Call (ViktorDegt), Call Recorder (Clever Mobile) and Call Recording (Appliqato).
In this article we will summarize the study of the program segment that records all incoming and outgoing. But before that, we will take the time to the million-million Call Recording application released by Green Apple Studio and the stylish Automatic Call Recorder utility developed by Smsrobot LTD. How will they prove themselves compared to previously tested solutions?
Note that the recording of telephone calls without the consent of the interlocutor in some countries is punishable by law, so it’s worth remembering. Fortunately, in Russia, Ukraine and the CIS countries there are no such requirements.
The following devices were used as test equipment:
- Smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (OC Android 7.1, Resurrection Remix 5.8.x, Snapdragon 650 processor 64 bits, 6 x 1800 MHz, video processor Adreno 510, 2 GB of RAM);
- Smartphone Jinga Basco M500 3G (OC Android 5.1, MediaTek MT6580 processor, 4 x 1300 MHz, Mali-400 MP2 video processor, 1 GB of RAM).

Beginning of work
Immediately after installation, Call Recording is ready for operation, even the initial setup is not needed. Accordingly, no one warns us about the responsibility for recording calls, which is very bad. But let's not focus on this and move on to further consideration of the application.
The interface is divided into four sections, where call records are located. We immediately see who called us, his avatar, call time and duration.
And if we move to the submenu, we can delete the entry, send it, view the details, call back and add the number to the exception entry.
Nearby there is an asterisk, when clicked, our entry is automatically transferred to the section with important entries.
Other functions, widgets and menus in the free utility "Call Recording" are missing, except that you can mark the search bar in the upper right of the screen.
By the way, this is how the application lock looks, just like on the iPhone. Still, the program records our conversations and confidential information, and for its storage proper protection is desirable, in other words, a password.
Settings
Users with experience section with the settings can please, because everything is brief, concise and to the point. The first three points are automatic recording of incoming / outgoing. Next come the options for exceptions, calls that will not be recorded, setting a PIN to open the application, choosing a sound source and the type of files. Everything.
On the one hand, there are not so many options, for example, there is no automatic cleaning of files after a certain period and other “buns”. On the other hand, knowing what advanced users are today, this is not necessary. Key functions are and enough.
Testing
For the program we need the easiest gadget; The main thing is that it works at least on the Android 4.0 operating system. As for the requirements for the "hardware", they are not so great.
The Call Recording utility consumes 70-80 MB of RAM during operation and up to 25 MB in the background, while the program itself takes up about 16 MB of memory in the device’s internal storage. The processor load tends to zero.
Application Version 1.20.3557.57 Distribution Size 7.45 MB Application Size in Installed Form 16.25 MB RAM Consumption 70-80 / 25 MB
If we talk about the quality of the program itself and the recorded audio files, then everything is at the proper level. It automatically starts during incoming / outgoing, notifies us in the status bar, and records the call. Its quality depends on the selected recording format, microphone (microphone of the speaker, camera) and, of course, the level of the device itself.
If you abstract from the hardware of the device, the program makes everything possible and impossible, because the resulting records are fairly clean and with a minimum of artifacts.
findings
Call Recording (Green Apple Studio) is a fairly simple program to automatically record calls from android devices. It does not shine with functionality and an abundance of options, but contains basic parameters and works without complaints. Actually, this is where its advantages lie.
The utility is absolutely free; however, we pay for her work by viewing advertising, which can not be disabled.
